Sumatra — Earthy Depth, Legendary Body
From the lush highlands of Aceh, Takengon, Sumatra, this Sumatra Single Origin is a coffee built for those who crave rich, layered, and unforgettable flavor. Grown at elevations between 1,100 and 1,600 meters, these specialty-grade beans thrive in Sumatra’s unique microclimates, where slow cherry development produces a syrupy body, earthy depth, and complex spice notes that are unmistakably Sumatran.
Roasted to a medium-dark profile, the cup reveals medium acidity, dark chocolate, dried fruit, and a long, lingering finish, creating a bold, full-bodied experience that’s perfect for coffee snobs seeking exclusive single-origin character.
This lot is cultivated by smallholder farmers from the Koperasi Baitul Qiradh Baburrayyan (KBQB), who typically work plots of 1–2 hectares. The beans are hand-pulped and fermented locally, honoring generations of traditional practices. They are processed using the Indonesian wet-hulling method (Giling Basah), where parchment coffee is hulled at higher moisture content, giving Sumatra its signature deep, earthy profile with a tea-like finish. This coffee is double hand-sorted (GR1 DP) to ensure only the highest quality beans make it to export.
Featuring varietals Tim Tim, Typica, Ateng, Onan Ganjang, and Jember, these beans are roasted in small batches after each order is placed, preserving peak freshness and fully expressing the region’s distinctive terroir and craft.
For those who value single-origin transparency, meticulous craftsmanship, and bold character, this Sumatra Single Origin delivers a cup that is earthy, complex, and unapologetically rich — a true testament to Sumatran coffee mastery.
